Troubleshooting: Session protected by DRM, not authorized to play

If you have encontered the “Session protected by DRM, not authorized to play” message when trying to play a recording that you have downloaded, please do the following:

  1. Add your institution’s Tegrity URL to your list of trusted sites in your Windows Internet Explorer (IE) browser security settings.
  2. Make sure that ActiveX controls are enabled in your IE browser security settings.
  3. Make sure that the “DRMActiveXControlClass” browser add-on exists and is enabled in your browser.
