How to: Create and Manage Admin User Accounts

To create additional “Admin” user accounts, you must login to the Tegrity Instance as a “Full Admin”.  Listed below are instructions on how to create and manage admin user accounts using the “Manage Admin User” option available on the Admin Dashboard.

1. In the “Users” section on the Tegrity Admin Dashboard, select the “Manage Admin Users” option.

2. To create “Admin” user accounts, select the “New User” option, located on the upper, left-hand corner of the page.

3. In the “Create new user” dialog window, enter the “User ID”, “User Name”, “Email” and “Password”.  To assign the appropriate administrative rights to the admin user account, select the option by clicking the appropriate radio button next to the name of the role (Admin, Help Desk, Executive).  Click “OK” to create the admin user account.

A confirmation dialog window will appear on the screen indicating the admin user account has been successfully created.  Click “OK” to close the dialog window.  The new admin user account will now appear in the list on the “Manage Admin Users” page.

Editing User Accounts 

1. To “Edit” admin user accounts, click the “Edit” option, located to the far right of the name of the admin user account in which you would like to modify.

2. In the “Rename user” dialog window, you have the ability to modify the “User Name”, “Email” and “Password” fields.  The “User ID” field cannot be modified once the account has been created.  Click “OK” to apply the changes.

A confirmation dialog window will appear on the screen indicating the admin user account has been successfully changed.  Click “OK” to close the dialog window.

Deleting User Accounts 

1. To “Delete” admin user accounts, click the “Delete” option, located to the far right of the name of the admin user account that you would like to delete.

2. A confirmation dialog window will appear on the screen to allow you to confirm the deletion of the admin user account.  Click “OK” to remove the user account from the system.
