Service Disruption – 12/9/2015

Update: Tegrity service was restored around 6:25 PM CST. We apologize for any inconvenience this issue caused.

Starting around 5:15 PM CST, we started seeing performance issues with the Tegrity service. Our senior engineers are actively working to troubleshoot and resolve this issue as quickly as possible.

Tegrity Maintenance Bulletin TEG15-015

Maintenance work was carried out on December 9 between 2am-6am ET

Changes:

– Fix: Recording upload hanging at 47%
– Fix: Recording remains in ‘Recording is being edited’ status after editing
– Fix: Course IDs added to the end of courses with the same name in Recorder and Scheduler
– Fix: Active Courses tab do not show all courses in which a user is enrolled
– Fix: Past Courses tab does not appear for some users
– Fix: Continuously being prompted to download the Download Manager
– Fix: Clicking a second D2L SSO link after closing the first one causes browser to lock up
– Fix: Get Support email functionality not working
– Fix: Private Course missing for some instructors
– Fix: Duplicate Private Courses merged into one
– Fix: Searching resulted in error message
– Fix: Alt Formats not being created
– Fix: Impersonate User function not working correctly

The Tegrity Tech Support office will be closed on the following dates and times:

  • Thursday – Friday, 11/26 – 11/27, for the Thanksgiving Holidays
  • Thursday, 12/3, after 6PM CST
  • Thursday, 12/10, after 4PM CST
  • Thursday, 12/24, after 2PM CST
  • Friday, 12/25, for Christmas Day

  • Friday, 1/1, for New Year’s Day

Service Disruption – 11/5/2015

On the morning of 11/5, beginning around 4:21 AM EDT, some customers were unable to access their Tegrity service due to a hardware failure at our hosted service provider in Milpitas, CA. Tegrity services were restored to normal operations around 10:00 AM EST.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Tegrity Maintenance Bulletin TEG15-014

A new PC Recorder build 7.5.2.2301 will be available starting 11/1/2015 which fixes the following issues:

Fixes:
– Recording uploads hanging at 47% due to a FIPS compliant algorithm compatibility
– Courses are listed in alphabetical order in the course dropdown list
– Supports special characters in the instructor picture file name
– Allows ‘Remember me on this computer’ functionality for web-based authentication
– Allows scheduled recordings for web-based authentication
– Allows projector audio as the playback audio source when instructor video is enabled

It is recommended that this new Recorder to be deployed to computers as needed. Please contact Tegrity Technical Support to obtain this new PC Recorder build.

You can also request for your Tegrity service be updated to the new PC Recorder build which will auto-update Windows computers to Recorder build 7.5.2.2301 when they connect to your institution’s Tegrity service and start a recording. Please contact Tegrity Technical Support for additional details.

10/12/2015 Update: Our R&D engineers encountered a networking issue during the maintenance window and, as a precaution, have rescheduled the maintenance update to October 13 between 2am-6am ET.

Maintenance work is scheduled to be carried out on October 12 between 2am-6am ET

Changes:

– Fix: Recording is locked with a status of ‘Recording is being edited.’
– Fix: Browser locking up after closing a Tegrity window and then clicking on a ‘Tegrity Classes’ link again from the LMS
– Fix: Issues related to restoring recordings from Archive
